First it was a quote in the NY Times and now a photo of my rød pølser made it on a German game show! Too fun. You can see the August 24th video here. It’s minute 19:42.

Yay! My sister’s drawings are featured in Scrubs! No, not the show — the magazine for nurses. Check it out! You can also see more of her fun drawings on her blog.

My friend Alicia is the quite the crafter. She can crochet anything! Safety cone? Check. S’more? Check. Each one is complete with a little smiley face. She recently moved back to her hometown of Pittsburgh and is selling her items in a few shops. She asked me to design little tags to attach to her creations. So cute, right? You can view more items in her etsy shop.

August 15, 2010 • Design, Life in DK : ArtRebels + Medina
ArtRebels said they wanted a promotional tool for the launch of their online wholesale shop platform during Copenhagen Fashion Week. Their original idea was to make a cardboard fan, but after some brainstorming I suggested a pinwheel with the slogan, “A Cool Breeze.” They were sold. I designed flyers that could be made into pinwheels. We put the pinwheels in a fun tote bag or muleposer (literally translates as muzzle bags). I also made some fun props (available at sah-rah.com) for a photo booth. We bicycled around with two Christiana bikes and set up a photo booth in different locations. And took photos of stylish people. One highlight was the mention in the Dansk Daily. You can view the rest of the photos here. Another highlight was Medina! A huge pop singer over here. I may or may not have had her music on repeat all summer long. You can see some of her videos here.
I also recently learned the word for paper fasteners: soldaterben (soldier’s legs)!

After much debate I’ve decided to promote my crafts + shop through another site: sah-rah.com. It’s currently home to my etsy shop of printable cupcake sticks + photo sticks but in the near future I will expand with actual props to buy and limited addition items. Stay tuned!
